Former YSRCP Minister and Anakapalli district president Gudivada Amarnath demanded strict action against the individuals who attacked former Narsipatnam MLA Petla Uma Sankara Ganesh. Mr. Amarnath said that if the government failed to act within 48 hours, the YSRCP State party unit would take up the issue. Addressing the media on Tuesday, Mr. Amarnath alleged that the followers of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader and AP Legislative Assembly Speaker Ch. Ayyanna Patrudu attacked former YSRCP MLA Ganesh with weapons and damaged his vehicle, when Mr. Ganesh visited an unauthorised construction site alleged to be that of the AP Speaker within the Narsipatnam limits and questioned its legality.
