The rolling stock type tests on the Pink Line corridor between Kalena Agrahara and Tavarekere, covering a stretch of 7.5 km, will be conducted from January 11 and is planned to be completed by mid April.

A Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (BMRCL) release said on Saturday that this main line testing is a vital activity prior to commissioning involving comprehensive validation of train performance and system integration under actual field conditions to obtain statutory approvals.

“During the above-mentioned period, traction and brake type tests, oscillation trials at various speeds, integration tests with signals, power and telecommunication systems among others will be conducted,” the release added.
