In view of increased passenger demand during the upcoming Makar Sankranti and Holi festivals, the Railways have decided to continue the services of the Kalaburagi-Bengaluru Cantonment weekend special trains for an additional 16 trips.

The extension applies to the weekly special trains running between Kalaburagi and Bengaluru Cantonment, which were earlier scheduled to operate only up to the end of December 2025. The services will now continue till the end of February and early March 2026.

Train No. 06207 Bengaluru Cantonment-Kalaburagi Weekly Special will continue to run every Saturday from January 3 to February 28, accounting for eight additional trips. Similarly, Train No. 06208 Kalaburagi-Bengaluru Cantonment Weekly Special will continue to operate every Sunday from January 4 to March 1, adding another eight trips.

There will be no change in the composition or stoppages of these special trains. The trains will halt at Kalaburagi and Shahabad stations under the Solapur Division of Central Railway.

Tickets can be reserved for these special trains, which operate on special charges, at all computerised reservation centres and through the IRCTC website. Bookings for unreserved coaches can be made at station counters and via the UTS mobile application. Passengers have been advised to travel with valid tickets to avoid inconvenience.
