Over 25 lakh outpatients received treatment at Coimbatore’s 33 Urban Primary Health Centres (UPHCs) between January 1 and December 31, 2025. According to the data provided by the Coimbatore Corporation, the centres recorded a total of 25,80,795 outpatient visits, averaging 214 patients per PHC per day. In the same period, 59,649 inpatients were treated, averaging 151 inpatients per PHC per month. The UPHCs registered 22,114 pregnant women during the year, with a monthly average of 1,843. A total of 508 deliveries were conducted, resulting in 265 male and 243 female births. Between April 1, 2025 and the present, 18,088 nutrition kits were issued to beneficiaries. Under the Dr. Muthulakshmi Reddy Maternity Benefit Scheme, ₹18,000 is provided to pregnant women to meet nutritional needs. This includes ₹14,000 in cash distributed in three instalments — two of ₹6,000 in the fourth month of pregnancy and after the fourth month of delivery, and one of ₹2,000 after the ninth month of delivery. The remaining ₹4,000 is provided as two health kits, each valued at ₹2,000, during the third and sixth months of pregnancy. In Coimbatore, a total of 23,058 instalments were disbursed, with 14,171 in the first instalment, 5,719 in the second, and 3,168 in the third. The total amount disbursed reached ₹9.23 crore.
