The Kozhikode Corporation has initiated steps to identify designated feeding spots for street dogs as part of its efforts to streamline their management.

The move follows a Supreme Court directive to create dedicated spots for feeding street dogs, instead of allowing feeding on streets and in public places. A meeting of the Corporation Council held in February decided to set up such spots. Mayor O. Sadasivan recently asked councillors to identify suitable locations in their respective wards.
