Superintendent of Police (SP) S. Satish Kumar, along with nearly 120 police personnel, including Deputy SPs, Circle and Sub-Inspectors, led the operation. The police teams conducted door-to-door searches, verified households and surroundings, and focused on individuals with criminal past, particularly those involved in murder and faction-related cases. The SP visited the houses of former factionists and cautioned them to maintain good conduct, warning that any repeat offence would invite strict legal action, including opening of rowdy sheets and attachment of properties through courts. Police seized 40 two-wheelers found without valid number plates or registration documents. Officials said the vehicles were shifted to concerned police stations for verification and cases would be booked under Section 102 of the CrPC against violators. Later, addressing villagers at a gram sabha, the SP cautioned that no one should take the law into their hands. He urged residents to resolve disputes peacefully, without political or caste-based confrontations. He warned that criminal behaviour would adversely impact the future of offenders’ children, including difficulties in securing police clearances and no-objection certificates. Mr. Satish Kumar told the media that the operation was conducted with the help of modern technologies, such as drone cameras, body-worn cameras, mobile scanning devices and fingerprint scanners. “Similar cordon and search drives would continue across the district to curb crime and maintain public order,” he said.
