Praveen The Opposition Left Democratic Front (LDF) and the United Democratic Front (UDF) walked out of a meeting of the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation council on Monday (April 27, 2026) accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led administration of failing to address the acute drinking water crisis that various parts of Thiruvananthapuram city has been experiencing over the past few weeks. As soon as the council meeting ended abruptly, the BJP councillors staged a march to the Kerala Water Authority (KWA) head office in the city accusing the State government of shirking its responsibility to provide drinking water.
