Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday directed officials and oil company representatives to immediately step up petrol and diesel supplies across the State, with a target to restore normalcy by Monday. Reviewing the situation through a teleconference from his camp office, the Chief Minister was informed that a sudden surge in demand, partly due to bulk purchases by commercial consumers at retail outlets, had strained supplies.
