A large number of devotees gathered to witness the grand car procession, the highlight of the 10-day annual feast of Adaikala Madha Shrine at Elakurichi in Ariyalur district on Sunday. The celebrations began around 6 p.m. with the Rosary, Litany, and Novena prayers, followed by a concelebrated Holy Mass, led by Fr. Soosairaj of Mettupalayam. The car procession commenced around 7.30 p.m., with a row of illuminated cars taken out, one behind the other, followed by the grand big car of Adaikala Madha going through the streets before returning to the shrine.
