One more writ petition has been filed in the Madras High Court seeking an inquiry into the assets declared by Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president C. Joseph Vijay while filing his nomination papers for contesting from Perambur Assembly constituency in the elections held this year. The new writ petition has been listed for hearing before Chief Justice Sushrut Arvind Dharmadhikari and Justice G. Arul Murugan on Monday (April 27, 2026). The Bench had already ordered notice, returnable by June 3, to the Income Tax department in a similar case filed last week.
