A 46-year-old convict undergoing life imprisonment, who was admitted to the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Government Hospital in Tiruchi recently, died on Friday night. The police gave the name of the convict as V. Senthil of Soorakudi village in Ariyalur district. He was a life convict in a rape case booked in Jayamkondam All Women Police Station in Ariyalur district and was lodged in the Central Prison, Tiruchi, in September 2022.
