The Kumaran Nagar police has booked cases against the cadre of the DMK and the TVK following an assault on a lawyer near a polling station in Saidapet on Thursday. Police sources said the incident occurred near Polling Station No. 46 in the Saidapet constituency, where Senthamilselvan, a lawyer associated with the TVK, was assaulted in an altercation between cadres of the two parties.
