Palayamkottai Assembly segment registers district’s lowest turnout once again

As usual, Palayamkottai Assembly constituency, which has always recorded awful polling percentage in the past despite its literacy rate, affluence, poll awareness events etc, has once again registered the district’s lowest voter turnout with 68.90% while remaining four segments of the district have appreciable polling percentage.

The Palayamkottai Assembly segment’s poll percentage in the previous elections: Assembly election 2016 – 61%; Parliamentary election 2019 – 57.56%; Assembly election 2021 – 58.32%; and Parliamentary election 2024 – 56.62%.
