Sharnbasva University in Kalaburagi. | Photo Credit: File photo The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has accorded approval to Sharnbasva University in Kalaburagi to start four new engineering programmes — two undergraduate and two postgraduate — in emerging areas from the academic year 2026–27. In a statement issued on Saturday, Vice-Chancellor Anilkumar Bidve said the AICTE had permitted the university to introduce M.Tech programmes in Cybersecurity and in Power System and Power Electronics, each with an intake of 18 students.
