BJP workers, led by party’s Puducherry unit president V. P. Ramalingam and Home Minister A. Namassivayam took out a rally in protest against the INDIA bloc in Puducherry. BJP workers, mostly women, participated in a rally to protest against the INDIA bloc for not supporting Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led National Democratic Alliance government’s plan to bring legislations in Parliament to implement the 33% reservation for women in Lok Sabha and State Assembly elections. The rally led by BJP’s Puducherry unit president V. P. Ramalingam and Home Minister A. Namassivayam started from a point near Venkatasubba Reddiar Statue and culminated at Anna Salai. The Mahila Morcha leaders and party legislators participated in the rally.
