Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL), a subsidiary of Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) under the Ministry of Power, has issued tenders for 3,604 electric buses to expand clean public transport across India. The tenders, published on April 22, 2026, cover deployment in 45 cities across 17 States and Union Territories. Announced in Vijayawada, the initiative includes a pre-bid meeting on May 7 and a submission deadline of June 5. It forms part of the Centre’s PM e-Bus Sewa Scheme and PM E-DRIVE Scheme.
