Venkatesan, a native of Kilpalur village. | Photo Credit: Special Arrangement A 47-year-old polling booth agent was arrested by Kadaladi police in Kalasapakkam Assembly constituency in Tiruvannamalai district on Thursday for reportedly damaging an EVM machine in the polling booth. The police said the arrested person was identified as N. Venkatesan, a native of Kilpalur village. Initial inquiry revealed it was around 10 a.m when Venkatesan noticed that many voters were allegedly made to cast for the ‘Two Leaves’ symbol of the AIADMK in the polling booth. Upset over it, he reportedly damaged the machine before the police rounded him up in the polling booth.
