Photo: X@SpokespersonMoD India and Egypt advanced their defence cooperation at the 11th Joint Defence Committee (JDC) meeting held in Cairo from April 20 to 22, outlining a forward-looking road map to deepen bilateral engagement. According to the Ministry of Defence, the Indian delegation, led by Joint Secretary (International Cooperation) Amitabh Prasad, engaged with senior Egyptian defence officials to review progress since the previous meeting and identify new avenues of collaboration. Both sides agreed on a bilateral defence cooperation plan for 2026–27, focusing on expanding structured military engagements, intensifying joint training exchanges, boosting maritime security cooperation, and increasing the scope and complexity of military exercises.
