The police on Thursday recovered a severed, charred human head from a paddy field some distance away from the Mundathikode blast site in Thrissur, underlining the intensity of the explosion that ripped through the fireworks unit on Tuesday. The remains were found during an extensive search operation using specially trained cadaver dogs. Officials said more than 14 body parts were recovered during the day’s search, while four persons are still unaccounted for.
