Rao The State government has stepped up the expansion of Amaravati Capital City, issuing fresh notifications for land acquisition and the Land Pooling Scheme (LPS) in Guntur and Palnadu districts. In March and April, the Guntur District Collector issued notifications under the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (LAAR Act) for villages including Inavolu, Nekkallu and Velagapudi in Thulluru mandal, part of the first phase of the capital city project.
