Voting machines were dispatched to 1,518 polling stations across the four constituencies of Sivaganga district on Wednesday. A total of 7,286 officials are engaged in polling duties on April 23. In Karaikudi constituency, 25 candidates are in the fray. There are 3,05,925 voters, comprising 1,49,286 men, 1,56,610 women, and 26 third-genders. In Tiruppattur constituency, 15 candidates are contesting. There are 2,75,904 voters here, including 1,35,436 men, 1,40,464 women, and four third-gender individuals. In the Sivaganga constituency, 17 candidates are contesting. There are 2,78,124 voters here, consisting of 1,36,035 men, 1,42,086 women, and 3 third-gender individuals.
