The mela was held as part of the 14th phase of an ongoing recovery drive using the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR). Addressing a press conference, Superintendent of Police (SP) Tushar Dudi said the mobile phones were traced through sustained technical tracking. Several devices were located not just within Andhra Pradesh but also in neighbouring States, including Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Maharashtra, reflecting coordinated efforts across jurisdictions.
