With an increase of 22.17 crore tourists, Karnataka has recorded a sharp post-pandemic surge in overall footfall, with domestic tourism, in particular, witnessing a fourfold rise. 

In 2021, Karnataka recorded 7.83 crore tourist visits, including 7.97 crore domestic and 0.71 lakh foreign visitors. By 2025, this had jumped sharply to 30.21 crore total visits in the State.
