Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief coordinator K.A. Sengottaiyan, in a video message on Tuesday (April 21, 2026), said he had been humiliated and side-lined in his former party despite decades of service, and appealed to voters to support him in the upcoming election. In a 5.48-minute video posted on his social media account, Mr. Sengottaiyan said he had worked for the party for 42 years but was deeply hurt by remarks made by a functionary holding an important post, who, he alleged, spoke about him in a demeaning manner.
