The Kerala High Court has directed the State government to conduct a performance audit of the two Vigilance tribunals in the State. It also asked the government whether there is a need to retain the tribunals.

The court was hearing a plea seeking time bound disposal of a Vigilance probe pending before the tribunal in Kozhikode since 2021 regarding the alleged forging of a title deed. The petitioner submitted that there was unnecessary delay in disposing of matters pending before the tribunals.
