The Centre has appointed Hariprasad P. to the key national committee to strengthen food safety and quality standards | Photo Credit: File photo The Union government has appointed city-based academic Hariprasad P. to a high-level committee under the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) on Rapid Analytical Food Testing. He is among nine experts selected from across the country. Currently a professor at the Centre for Rural Development and Technology, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, Prof. Hariprasad brings decades of expertise in agricultural microbial biotechnology, applied secondary metabolomics, and rapid detection kit development, according to a press release.
