Bus fares from Chennai to Tiruchi and other southern districts have surged on online booking platforms. Ticket prices that were previously around ₹1,400 have now surged to ₹2,500 to ₹2,900 for AC sleeper buses. Semi-sleeper fares have risen significantly, now ranging between ₹1,500 and ₹2,000. Even non-AC buses have seen increase, with prices increasing by ₹500 to ₹800 on the Chennai to Tiruchi route.
