Those were the days when films came to India long after their international release and then trickled down to far-flung Air Force stations many years later. And so it was that one watched with thrill and terror as a shark destroyed the peace and calm of the beautiful seaside town of Amity. The re-release of the 4K restored version of Steven Spielberg’s Jaws, was a chance to revisit a younger, starry-eyed version of oneself, remembering the nightmares of rows of razor-sharp, serrated teeth chomping down the ventilator in landlocked Bengaluru.
