Autobiography of asthma specialist Sridharan launched

The autobiography of asthma and allergy specialist Sridharan titled Kaatrukku Enna Veli was launched here on Sunday by director of Cardiothoracic surgery of SIMS Hospital, Vadapalani V. V. Bashi at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. The first copy of the book was recieved by Ramco Cements CEO A. V. Dharmakrishnan. The launch also coincided with Dr. Sridharan’s 75th birthday.

Speaking after releasing the book, Dr. Bashi said that he knew Dr. Sridharan for over 30 years now and that they have had several common patients. He said that Dr. Sridharan was a unique person and had written over 50 devotional songs. He recalled how in the past there was no proper cure for asthma but things had changed and many advances have occured in it’s treatment and Dr. Sridharan was in the forefront.
