Several people sustained minor injuries when Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers clashed with the police at Nettayam under Vattiyurkavu police station limits late on Sunday. The police attributed the violence to a complaint filed by a BJP worker. The complainant alleged that his neighbour, allegedly a Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)] worker, conducted himself in a way that outraged the modesty of his wife.
