KHAMMAM Multiple civic infrastructure development works, including the underground drainage (UGD) and the underground power line works, are currently under way in Madhira to make the town clean and green, said Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka. These include development of lakes into tourism parks, he added. Addressing Congress party functionaries in Madhira town on Friday, he exhorted them to highlight the Congress government’s welfare and development initiatives during the upcoming urban local body polls. He called upon the party cadre to ensure the victory of those who believe that Madhira town should develop and remain clean and green for a sustainable future. He listed out some major development initiatives taken by the Congress government such as construction of own buildings for government schools and colleges, establishment of an agriculture polytechnic college, upgrading the ITI into an advanced technology centre, among others. He said that new CC roads will be constructed across Madhira town after the completion of the ongoing underground drainage works.
