A group of trade union leaders in Coimbatore city launched election campaigning in Coimbatore North constituency on Friday (April 17, 2026) by conducting street meetings at various locations. “We are conducting the campaign at 20 locations today,” said AITUC leader Thangaraj. Accompanied by HMS leader Rajamani and a group of leaders from the joint action council of trade unions in Coimbatore district, he was visiting various industrial clusters in the city and campaigned for candidates of the DMK-led Secular-front.
