Ahead of the Tamil Nadu Assembly election scheduled for April 23, the Coimbatore district administration has announced free transport arrangements for senior citizens aged 75 years and above, and persons with disabilities across all Assembly constituencies in the district. The initiative follows directions from the Election Commission of India and aims to address the difficulties faced by these voters in travelling to polling stations. Under the arrangement, eligible voters will be provided free transport from their residence to the polling booth and back home after casting their vote.
