Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy said that the Dagadarthi airport, which is being developed on 1,332.8 acres through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, is expected to be a game-changer for the SPSR Nellore and Prakasam districts. According to District Collector Himanshu Shukla, private participants are currently invited to give their Request For Proposals (RFP) towards development, operation and maintenance under a long-term concession framework, the deadline for which is around the end of April 2026. It is expected that the project will have the successful bidder announced by the first week of May, the Collector added.
