Visakhapatnam prepares for first international cruise departure

Visakhapatnam is poised to emerge as a cruise tourism hub with the launch of international sailings by Cordelia Cruises, marking a significant development in Andhra Pradesh’s efforts to position the port city on the global maritime tourism map.

Speaking to The Hindu, K. Vijay Mohan, president of Andhra Pradesh Tourism Forum, said; “Cruise operations will begin with domestic sailings before transitioning to international routes. The ship will commence its first domestic sailing from Chennai on June 22, with four scheduled sailings, touching Visakhapatnam and Puducherry before returning to Chennai.”
