Election and police officials seized around ₹13 lakh in unaccounted cash during vehicle checks in Vellore and Ranipet districts on Sunday, as part of enforcement measures in the run-up to the Assembly election. The police said a Static Squad team intercepted a car at a checkpost in Mutharasi Kuppam village that falls under the Anaicut Assembly constituency in Vellore.
