Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, Deputy General Secretary of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), on Sunday (April 19, 2026) alleged that the proposed Women’s Reservation Bill was being used as a political tool to dilute representation, particularly of southern States.

Campaigning for M. H. Jawahirullah, candidate of the DMK-led alliance from Nagapattinam, she addressed voters near Nellukadai Mariamman Temple and sought support for the alliance.
