Tusker captured in Hassan, sent to Dubare camp

Officials of the Forest Department on Saturday succeed in capturing the tusker that killed a farmer, at Malasavara minor forest area in Belur taluk in Hassan district.

The tusker had attacked Raja Shetti at Kanaguppe village, on April 12. Following the incident, the department launched an operation to capture the elephant on Tuesday. There was an attempt to capture the animal on Wednesday. However, the animal succeeded in escaping, snapping the rope tied to it.
