POORNACHANDRA KUMAR As a part of Swarna Andhra-Swachha Andhra and Jaladhara-Jalaharati programmes, Chandragiri MLA Pulivarthi Nani along with District Collector Dr. S. Venkateswar on a two-wheeler to inspect the surrounding areas of Peruru Cheruvu (lake) in Tirupati on Saturday. After inspecting the lake and its adjacent areas, they both gave some suggestions to the officials of the Water Resources Department for the protection of the water body. Jaladhara-Jalaharati is a water conservation initiative launched by the State government to tackle drought situation.
