Sukumar chaired the second review meeting to assess the preparations made in the polling booths for ensuring hassle-free polling and the facilities created in these places to keep the electorate comfortable while waiting to cast their votes. Addressing the meeting, Dr. Sukumar said a total of 1,678 polling booths would be set-up for the election. Of this 416 polling booths in Tirunelveli Corporation, 295 in town panchayats, 766 in village panchayats, 53 under Vickramasingapuram municipality, 37 in Ambasamudram municipality and 35 in Kalakkad municipality and 76 in private schools would be established.
