Fire raging at the cotton warehouse in Thoothukudi SIPCOT on Saturday. | Photo Credit: RAJESH N A major fire broke out at a cotton warehouse located in SIPCOT area in Thoothukudi on Saturday. According to an officer from the Fire and Rescue Service Department, the information of the fire was received around 12 p.m. and three fire tenders were deployed to douse the flames. The official added that since the godown was locked and contained compressed cotton, it was taking longer to bring the fire under control.
