Entries are invited for the Abu Dhabi Shakti Awards 2026. Original literary works published between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2025, will be considered for the award. The awards will be presented in the categories of poetry, novels, short stories, drama, children’s literature, and scholastic literature (history, education, science, language, psychology, culture, and folk knowledge). The Shakti Thayat Award will be presented for literary criticism, while the Shakti Erumeli Parameswaran Pillai Award will cater to works in the non-fiction category (autobiography, biography, memoir, and travelogue). The award carries a prize of ₹25,000, a citation, and a sculpture.
