Kerala has become a “hub of love jihad,” Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) national organising secretary Milind Parande alleged on Saturday. He said the organisation would submit a petition to the Union government seeking urgent intervention into the issue. He was addressing a press conference at the VHP’s office at Pavakkulam in Kochi. Mr. Parande linked his remarks to the controversy surrounding the inter-faith marriage of an alleged minor tribal girl from Madhya Pradesh with a Muslim man from Uttar Pradesh, which took place in Thiruvananthapuram. “There is a planned conspiracy behind this. Instead of protecting the minor girl, the party ruling the State and the police aided a serious crime,” he said.
