The 2026 Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu is between the Tamil Nadu and Delhi teams and the Tamil Nadu team should win, said Deputy Chief Minister Udhyanidhi Stalin in Coimbatore on Friday.

Seeking votes for the DMK candidates for Coimbatore South and Coimbatore North – V. Senthilbalaji and Durai. Senthamil Selvan respectively, he said Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has given several assurances for the people of the State in the election manifesto. The Central government did not allocate any funds or even mention Tamil Nadu in the Union Budget. “What has the Central government given for Tamil Nadu ? It did not sanction the metro rail project for Coimbatore and denied funds for education,” he said.
