Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam chief coordinator K. A. Sengottaiyan has claimed that AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami had set a condition for an alliance with the BJP ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha election that then BJP State president K. Annamalai be removed from his post. Addressing an election rally in Gobichettipalayam on Thursday, Mr. Sengottaiyan questioned what “sin” the former IPS officer had committed and alleged that there was no other leader like Mr. Palaniswami who had “betrayed” so many.
