Sri Venkateswara Zoological Park (SVZP), Tirupati, received a munificent donation of ₹21 lakh towards animal adoption from a Punjab-based philanthropic organisation. The contributed amount will be utilised towards the welfare and upkeep of animals housed in the zoological park. The donation, made in support of wildlife care and conservation, is in accordance with the provisions of IT Act 1961, and as such, eligible for tax exemption under Section 80(G), a release from the zoo park’s curator said.
