Jothi Ramalingam Home voting for 8,947 voters — 8,119 senior citizens above 85 years and 828 persons with disabilities — began in the 16 Assembly constituencies in Chennai on Thursday (April 16, 2026). Starting Thursday, the home voting will be held for three days from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. A total of 96 teams will visit around 3,800 homes every day, with each team told to visit at least 40 homes per day.
