The election flying squad seized gold and diamond jewellery worth ₹10.18 crore during a vehicle check near Codissia grounds in Singanallur constituency on Wednesday (April 15). The seizure was made when a team intercepted a Tempo Traveller van during routine inspection around 3.20 p.m. On checking the vehicle, officials found a large quantity of gold and diamond jewellery reportedly without valid documents.
