According to officials of the Kerala Solid Waste Management Project (KSWMP), once the waste is cleared and the land is reclaimed, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) will set up a compressed biogas (CBG) plant at the site. Seven acres of land will be handed over for this purpose, with the first three acres scheduled to be transferred by the end of May.
