The Department of Medical Education in Jipmer is commemorating its 50th year of inception in Puducherry. | Photo Credit: SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research has planned to upgrade its Department of Medical Education to a Centre of Excellence in Medical and Health Professions Education. In a release to announce the 50th year of the establishment of the Department of Medical Education (formerly the National Teacher Training Centre), Jipmer has stated its intent to upgrade the department to a Centre of Excellence focusing on curriculum and leadership development.
